Play on the couch with friends. Name any player to start, then keep the chain going: share a team or college with the last name, or you're out.
Host a room
Sign in to host. Anyone can still join your room free.
Join a room
Everyone in the room takes turns building one shared chain, going around in order. What you have to submit on your turn alternates: name a player, then whoever's next names the link connecting to them (a team or college), then the next person names a player who carries that link, and so on. Miss, or run out of time, and you're eliminated. Last player standing wins.
Worked example
The very first turn is free: name any player to open the chain, no link needed yet.
Seat 1: “Aaron Rodgers” (opens the chain, no link to prove)
Seat 2: “College” → “Cal” (Rodgers really did go to Cal)
Seat 3: “Marshawn Lynch” (also a Cal alum, completes that link)
Seat 1: “Team” → “Seahawks” (Lynch really played for Seattle)
Seat 2: a Seahawks player who hasn't been used yet…
Notice the job keeps moving to the next seat every turn, and it doesn't matter whether that seat is naming a player or a link this time, whoever's up has to supply whatever type comes next. You could be asked for either one depending on when you land your turn.
Timer
Every turn has its own clock. Time runs out, you're eliminated, exactly like submitting something wrong.
Challenge flag
Instead of taking your own turn, you can throw the challenge flag at whoever went right before you, forcing them to act again under a fresh timer. If they succeed, you're the one eliminated instead, so only throw it if you're confident they'll fail. If they miss or time out, they're the one who goes out, same as normal.
Rematch
Once a game ends, the host can start a rematch with the exact same players, no need to re-share the room code and wait for everyone to rejoin.
